AT NINJA VAN

Designing inside a logistics business

Ninja Van is a logistics company operating across Southeast Asia. I worked on digital products for business customers, including payments and financing experiences.

For this project, the focus was Buy Now Pay Later. The goal was to help customers understand the option more clearly and apply online with less reliance on the sales team.

01

Making financing easier to understand

Some customers were placing larger orders and paying everything upfront. Financing gave them another way to manage those payments, but information about the option often came through the sales team.

02

What customers considered

Customers liked the idea of keeping more cash available, but also considered the interest rate, repayment period, and having another payment to manage.

What made it appealing

What customers still weighed up

Convenience

Paying in full was simpler than managing another payment.

Interest rate

Customers compared the offer with other financing options.

Repayment period

Customers wanted to know if the repayment period would work for them.

03

Making the option easier to find

We added a banner within the existing experience so customers could learn about financing without interrupting the main payment flow.

04

Tracking engagement

We instrumented the banner in Mixpanel to see whether customers noticed the entry point and chose to explore financing.

About 22% of people who interacted with the banner selected Explore Options, which gave us confidence to keep investing in the flow.

05

Explaining the option before the application

Before asking for business and financial information, we gave customers more context about the payment option and how it worked.

We explored several ways to introduce financing in the payment flow, so they could decide whether to continue.
